Q:

Does the room need to be walkable? Do you as judges need to walk around the room?

A:

Absolutely not, we don't even need to enter the room to judge. Although we would prefer to do so.

Q:

Do I have to build in the entirety of the room space you specify?

A:

No, you can build within the parameter we specify. For example a 7x7 floorplan; you can build a 4x3 size room. The maximum you can build in is 7x7.

Q:

How can I do wall tricks if the room size limit is 7x7 (for example)?

A:

Whatever is visible within the 7x7 floorplan will be judged. You can stack furniture on floor space outside of the 7x7, to fit into the 7x7. As well as placing wall items into the space.

Can I ask you questions about the task after you post it?

A:

For sure, everyone is given the exact same information. People process things differently and we are more than happy to elaborate. Please be advised, no pre-conceived thoughts will take place before you submit. We won't be giving you advice on anything.

How do I submit a picture of my room?

A:

You can find us in the hotel to screenshot your room if its open (that includes .nl as well). DM us the room link on twitter. If its locked due to buildersclub, you can simply :screenshot and upload to imgur.com. Send us the link through DM on twitter.

What timezone are we looking at for the submission deadline?

A:

All submissions must be submitted before 12am EST. Anything past that is not acceptable.

Q:

Can we borrow furniture if we don't have it?

A:

If you're looking for something specific and it's within our means to get it for you. We will. Build in a group room and we'd be more than happy to place it. You can also rely on the generosity of your peers to lend you things as well.

Can we take inspiration from other builds we've seen?

A:

Of course, keep in mind this is a competition to see how well YOU build. We don't want to see a replica of something we've seen before.
