Task 7
SACRED

Welcome to Task 7 of Builders Corp. 3.
This week we ask you to build a room design inspired by a place of worship. The religion you choose can be entirely fictional; or accurate to real life.
You will use said religion to tell a story through a conceptualized room design.

Good luck!

Awe inspiring designs this week. You really set the bar high. Higher than ever at this stage in the competition. You're all on even playing field and have what it takes to win this competition.
Happy reading, please see the progress page for your individual ranking.
Good luck.

Such a blatant use of building blocks is a big no for me. Usually. This creation of yours has proven me wrong. The seafoam roof is such a unique, gorgeous addition to the room, I can't be mad at it. Pairing that with this sandy golden beige gives us such a gorgeous palette. I love everything about this room and I am proud to say this wins the week hands down. Spectacular work.

Exceptional design. This is a tremendous accomplishment; true testament to your creativity and overlooking your exasperating journey this season. The room shape and composition is uniquely crafted, highlighting some fantastic features. The colours you used to portray your vision were sporadically placed quite cleverly. I think your biggest achievement is the structure you created. Some may say the roof is superfluous, I think it's gorgeous. It balances the design and sets the story for your design. Fantastic work this week. Well done.

I can see where this was going but the choice to use some of the furni in here and the way you paired them together gives us a very questionable building. The building block bricks aren't a bad choice if they're used wisely. Using them on all the sides here eats a lot of space you could have been using to showcase more details/openness. They're just too thick. The middle section of the roof makes no sense with how its standing up and not connecting with the stuff around it. The details could be good inside but you can't really get the full experience with how smushed in they are. The water also feels a bit unnecessary here.

I commend you on taking modern architecture and fantasy elements into consideration when constructing your design. There are some really interesting elements within your concept that I enjoy. However, it's imperative at this stage of the competition to step out of the box, quite literally 'the box'. The interior aspect of this design seems so finessed and fine tuned. I wish you had shown us more of that in the exterior. It's good to have a balanced design; I just find we aren't seeing enough of the interior to balance the bluntness the exterior provides. Overall, I think your story-telling is very creative and inspiring. You need to review the critiques we've given you in the past weeks to move past some of the same mistakes we keep seeing.

An intriguing take on using the Mayan furni as the base of this sacred building. Gorgeous details woven into the altar as oblation are gorgeous. I especially like the offerings on the bowl the monkey statue is holding. it's details like this that bring out the sacredness on this building. Great work as always.

Abstract, thematic and conceptually appropriate. This is a really strong build. There are so many fine tuned elements that are incorporated in this design. The colours are fantastic. The altar concept is executed to perfection. I really enjoy the structure you created and how well the style fits to the overall aesthetic. Overall this is definitely one of your stronger builds this competition. Keep it up!

I appreciate the room but there isn't much here to critique. The details in the furni are really nice but they aren't enough to make this room extraordinary. We don't demand walls every week but the lack of walls should be compensated with more details and shapes. Can't really give you a full critique because the room feels unfinished.

The altar you created is thematically felicitous, unfortunately I feel that's the only thing I can really judge in this design. It's stacked well, showcases your skills quite naturally. I just feel like I'm missing something. I would have liked to have seen some more of your unique take on stacking within the confines of this room. You explained in your submission all the details that you incorporated. You should have let those details speak for itself. I think your biggest mistake is the decision to not use any furniture to create a structure surrounding the altar. Something gothic or conservative might have fared quite nicely. At this pivotal moment in the competition, we're expecting a little bit more than what you provided us this week. Thanks.

A spectacular idea on doing an unkempt altar. The cheekiness of the half naked chubby god statue is my favourite thing ever. The ruined section is very well done, whereas the roof that's still intact is a bit rough but overall it's an appealing room. Keep it up.

Theoretic ideas meticulously combined. This build is not only visually stunning but you once again did some research. It shows in the details. The unfinished and unkempt approach to the concept to tell the story was spectacular. The crumble of stone cascading down the side of the build, the collapsed roof, the unobstructed sculpture. These aspects make your design stand out this week. Overall a very compelling room design. Great submission.
